Honesty, Dedication to Clients, and Results

“Personal Attention & Involvement”… “30 years experience in representing the injured”… “A dedicated and caring staff” …those are the qualities that motivate Roven-Kaplan, LLP in their representation of families who have been adversely affected by work place accidents and other types of injuries. Those are the guiding principles that have made Roven-Kaplan, LLP recognized among their peers for outstanding commitment.

Our dedication to clients is wrapped up in an idea that we take seriously: when the other side sees the name “Roven-Kaplan, LLP” attached to your case, they take the case seriously and know that you will pursue your rights. But quality legal representation and professional commitment is not enough. It is important that your case moves quickly to a fair and beneficial conclusion. It is important that your case does not get tied up in the court system forever.

Here, we do not handle business cases, criminal cases or divorces. We prefer to work only on personal injury and wrongful death cases; and this focus gives us the opportunity to be completely dedicated to the needs of our clients involving injury or the death of a family member.

  • How We Begin

When you need legal assistance, we begin evaluating every case by doing something   basic and simple…we listen to what you have to say. Every letter or call from a prospective client receives an interview and a personal contact. After we uncover the basic facts from you, we begin investigating your case. In occupational injury or disease cases, this means moving quickly to collect all of your medical records, x-rays and if necessary, biopsy or surgical materials. We enlist the assistance of well-recognized doctors from all over the country who have earned the right and reputation to serve as a “doctor’s doctor” ; to provide a second opinion, and  by“digging deeper” to explain exactly what happened in your case and how it is related to your injury or exposure to a toxic substance. In accident cases, we retain investigators to interview key witnesses and collect accident reports. If necessary or where required, we contact top-flight expert witnesses familiar with your type of injury/accident and the proper standards of care that apply to your situation. Experts often include pathologists, engineers, safety experts, radiologists, economists and surgeons.

If we determine that you have legitimate grounds for filing a law suit, we will then file your case and handle it.  We work with a network of excellent local counsel throughout the United States who are well respected and well connected in their communities. Your case will be handled on a contingent fee basis; which means that you owe us nothing for costs or attorneys fees until your case is successfully concluded and we obtain a recovery for you. We will do our best to file your case or pursue your claim as quickly as possible. Our goal is to have our cases completed within 2 years of filing.

  • Our legal system is based on the principle of “fair compensation”.

Many of the cases that we handle involve tragic injuries or death. I often wish that we could turn back the hands of time and undo what has happened to you or your family member. Unfortunately, no one has that power.

In ancient times, a grieving family had few options. No remedy except vengeance was available for the physical pain, mental anguish and loss of companionship that came from losing a beloved family member.  Our modern justice system was created as a substitute for people taking the law into their own  hands. It allows one to obtain monetary compensation for their loss. Naturally, it is not a perfect system because money is never a solution to a terrible injustice, but it is the least that you and your family are entitled to.

Our goal is to secure full compensation to all of our clients and to thereby help your family make the best of a difficult situation. Aside from providing compensation, a legal case can do another very important thing: it can force changes to be made by the companies and/or persons who were negligent and who caused the injury, so that, hopefully,  no other family has to go through what you are now going through.
